
Turmeric Rice Pilaf
A fragrant and vibrant rice dish, perfect as a side or main course.
Ingredients:
- 1 cup basmati rice
- 2 cups water or vegetable broth
- 1 teaspoon Ecoaura Turmeric Powder
- 1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds
- 1/4 cup chopped onions
- 2 tablespoons olive oil or ghee
- Salt to taste
- Fresh cilantro for garnish
Instructions:
- Rinse rice under cold water until the water runs clear; set aside.
- Heat olive oil or ghee in a saucepan over medium heat. Add cumin seeds and let them sizzle.
- Add chopped onions and sauté until golden.
- Stir in turmeric powder and salt, followed by the rinsed rice.
- Pour in water or broth, bring to a boil, then lower the heat and cover.
- Simmer for 15–20 minutes or until the rice is cooked.
- Fluff with a fork, garnish with fresh cilantro, and serve warm.
